I went to WW last night, but looking at there diet today I realize it's just not going to work for me. I'm too use to the low carb high fat approach. So my dd suggested Suzanne Somer's Sommersizing Program. I'm getting her books from the library and hoping they will help. I seem to be stuck again. My doctor has been wanting me to lose about 8-10 lbs. and it's just not happening. I lose a few and then gain them back. I'm doing Curves 4-5 days a week, and I like it but it really so far isn't helping me to lose weight. I'm hopeful that as I build muscle it will eventually help and I need to strengthen my muscles anyway.

Another Week
I haven't lost any weight for the last couple of weeks or so. So I decided to try Dr. Bernstein's Diabetic Diet. It is very low carb and I'm hoping it will get me going again. It's going to take a while to adjust to some of the changes. Today I spaced my meals 5 hours and when I got hungry had tea or coffee. Also I'm eating more protein per his recommendations. Edit-This diet just ended up being too restrictive.

Fourth Week at SP
The scale is stuck again. I decided to stop weighing daily and focus on just doing the best I can each day on my diet and exercise. I've been focusing on eating more veggies and this week I'm focusing again on getting the water and on getting the whole range of colors in my veggies. I did really well yesterday.

Two Weeks Down
I'm starting my third week of Sparks People and I'm in my first week of Curves. I'm down to 149. I'm starting to notice I'm feeling better and have more energy except that I'm getting up a lot earlier in the mornings and I'm still not use to it so I get a little sleepy in the afternoon, but I don't let myself take a nap unless I'm falling asleep or if I know I will be up later.
I'm trying to think of this as a healthy new lifestyle not as depriving myself.
I'm going to start tomorrow doing green drinks in the morning. I'm doing spinach, raspberries or blueberries and a little water. I may add some Stevia if it needs it.

Curves
It's getting rainey and cool and I need some kind of workout so I decided to join Curves again. It's been 6 years since I last did it. I'm excited about it and hope it will help me to tone up those muscles. When you lose weight you can lose muscle. It will also give me some cardio.
I just finished my first week at Sparks People and I lost 3 lbs.

Sparks People
I joined an on line program called Sparks People. I'm hoping for some help in losing some more weight. I'm stuck at 152=153 again. I tried on some dresses yesterday and realized I still have a lot to lose. I'm putting the link for this site on my side bar.

Still Working On It
I haven't been on line so I thought I'd update. I'm at 151. I still would like to lose another 5 lbs. but I think my doctor will be satisfied with what I've done. I got sick for a few days and that gave me a good drop in weight, so then I just tried to hold on to it. I haven't walked since I was sick, but it doesn't seem to make that much difference, but I know it's good for me anyway.
